Basis for Assessment
Used results of the April 1992 DNR stream use assessment to assess support of the Class B(LR) aquatic life uses as FST due to (1) habitat score (26) much better than the overall median score (22) for DNR stream use assessments and (2) indication on field sheet of moderately diverse substrates, numerous pool/riffle sequences, only isolated channel alterations, and moderately stable stream banks. Failure to capture fish species attributed to large amount of coarse substrate that hindered seining. Only threat to continued support of uses mentioned on field sheet is pasturing of riparian zone.
