Assessment Comments

Stream use assessment in Hardin County.

Basis for Assessment

Stream assessment form indicates above average habitat quality.  A diversity of substrate types and several pool/riffle sequences observed.   Isolated cases of channelization noted.   Fairly good diversity of fish observed including game fish (n.  pike and s.m.  bass).   The stream fish community may be enhanced as a result of direct linkage to Iowa River.
