Assessment Comments
Stream use assessment in Johnson County.
Basis for Assessment
Used a review of the field sheet for the May 1992 DNR stream use asessment in Johnson County to continue to assess support of the Class B(LR) aquatic life uses as FST due to (1) presence of a majority of the expected fish taxa (5 of 8) for streams in the Southern Iowa Rolling Loess Prairies subecoregion (47f) and (2) indications on field sheet of above average quality of aquatic habitats. Additional monitoring is needed to better determine the status of the aquatic communities and habitats.
