Documentation
Assessment Summary

The presumptive Class A1 (primary contact recreation) uses are assessed as "partially supported" due to identification of an impairment for indicator bacteria (E. coli) in the adjacent upstream segment by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA). The Class B(WW1) aquatic life uses and the Class HH (Human Health) uses remain "not assessed" due to the lack of information upon which to base an assessment.

Assessment Explanation

The bacterial impairment of the primary contact recreation uses of the upstream segment of the Little Cedar River was identified by MPCA in 2012. A TMDL was planned for this impairment in 2017.
