Assessment Comments
Assessment is based on results of three IDNR stream use assessments in August 1995.
Basis for Assessment
SUMMARY: The Class B(WW) aquatic life uses remain assessed as "fully supported / threatened" (minor impacts) based on results of an IDNR stream use assessment (fish/habitat surveys) in August 1995. Due to the age of these data, the assessment category is considered "evaluated." Fish consumption uses remain "not assessed" due to the lack of fish contaminant monitoring in this river segment.
EXPLANATION: Continue to use the assessment developed for the 1998, 2000, and 2002 reports that was based on results of the 1995 IDNR stream use assessments of fish species and habitat conditions. However, because these data are now considered too old (greater than five years) to accurately characterize current water quality conditions, the assessment category is considered "evaluated" (indicating an assessment with relatively low confidence) as opposed to "monitored" (indicating an assessment with relatively high confidence). Fish consumption uses remain "not assessed" due to the lack of fish contaminant monitoring in this stream segment.
