Basis for Assessment
Used results of the DNR's November 1990 stream use assessment to assess support of the B(LR) aquatic life uses as FST due to (1) habitat score (21) slightly below the overall average score (22) for DNR stream use assessments (categories of pool/riffle frequency, channel alterations, and bank stability scored above average; the small drainage area led to low scores for flow-related categories; thus, the overall habitat score failed to meet the overall average), (2) fish score (12) equal to the 75th percentile score for DNR stream use assessment made with electrofisher, (3) presence of areas of rooted aquatic vegetation (Elodea), and (4) relatively diverse fish community for middle Cedar Basin headwater stream.
