Basis for Assessment
"General Use" waterbody; not assessed for the 1996 or 1998 reports. Stream was sampled routinely for fish in 1981 as part of a research project at Iowa State Univeristy under direction of B. Menzel and conducted by D. Waldorf. Fish community diversity was relatively high at the sample site in SE 1/4, S24, T86N, R12W. Stream should be re-assessed for designation as a Class B(LR) waterbody. A fish kill approximately 3 miles SSE of LaPorte City was reported on June 18, 1996. No cause or souce of this kill was determined. No other information is available.
