Stream use assessment in Muscatine County.
Basis for Assessment
Used results of November 1990 stream use assessments to assess the B(LR) aquatic life uses as FST due to (1) habitat score at downstream assesment (24) that exceeds the overall average habitat score for stream assessment conducted between 1990 and 1995, and (2) notes on field sheet that indicate that stream is well-meandered with several pools of 2-3 feet in depth. Pasturing impacts noted at dstr site, and channelization impacts noted in park at W. Liberty at upstream site, but habitat conditions and fish species collected approximate what is expected. Assessments would likely not have accounted for any localized impacts due to wastewater treatment.
