Assessment Comments

Assessment is based on results of water quality and biological monitoring conducted as part of the Sny Magill / Blood Run project.

Basis for Assessment

SUMMARY:  The Class B(CW) aquatic life uses remain assessed as "fully supported."  Fish consumption uses remain "not assessed."  EXPLANATION:  The aquatic life uses remain assessed as "fully supported" based on results of the chemical monitoring conducted on this stream segment in from 1996 through 1999 (see assessment for the 2000 report).   These data are less than five years old and, according to IDNR's methodology for Section 305(b) assessments, are thus appropriate for characterizing current water quality conditions.   Fish consumption uses remain "not assessed" due to the lack of fish contaminant monitoring in this stream segment.
