Assessment Comments

Assessment is based on results of a November 1994 IDNR stream use assessment.

Basis for Assessment

SUMMARY:  The Class B(LR) aquatic life uses remain assessed as "fully supported / threatened" (minor impacts) based on results of biological monitoring conducted as part of an IDNR stream use assessment in 1994.   The assessment category, however, is changed from "monitored" to "evaluated."   This assessment is the same as that developed for the 2002 report.

EXPLANATION:  Continue to use the assessment developed for the 1998 report that was based on results of the 1994 DNR stream use assessment.   For more information, see historic documentation for downstream waterbody segment of Crane Creek (IA 01-WPS-0180-1).   However, because these data are now considered too old to accurately characterize current water quality conditions, the assessment category is changed from "monitored" (indicating an assessment with relatively high confidence) to "evaluated" (indicating an assessment with relatively low confidence).
