Assessment is based on results of 1997 DNR Fisheries Bureau survey in DeWitt city park.
Basis for Assessment
Used a review of results from the August 1997 fish survey by the DNR Fisheries Bureau in Clinton County (S13, T81N, R13W) to assess support of the Class B(LR) aquatic life uses as FST due to (1) presence of a moderately diverse fish community (11 species from 4 families) for the Southern Iowa Rolling Loess Prairies subecoregion (47f), (2) presence of a majority of the expected fish taxa (6 of 9) for streams in this subregion, and (3) indications of good quality aquatic habitats.
