Station 443704 (21IOWA) at Independence, Buchanan County. Also infromation from Iowa Conservationist.
Basis for Assessment
Used the assessments of support of the Class A primary contact (=FST) and Class B(WW) aquatic life uses (=FST) developed for the 1996 report. A fish kill occurred on the river at Independence in December 1997; no cause or source of the fish kill was determined.
