Assessment Comments
Assessment is based on results of IDNR/UHL biocriteria sampling in 1997 (Fish IBI= 55(good), BM-IBI= 59(good)).
Basis for Assessment
SUMMARY: The Class B(LR) aquatic life uses were assessed (monitored) as "fully supported / threatened" based on results of IDNR/UHL biological monitoring conducted in September 1997 as part of the IDNR stream biocriteria project. This assessment is the same as that developed for the 2000 and 2002 reporting cycles.
EXPLANATION: This assessment was based on the 1997 biological data. The aquatic life use support continued to be assessed as fully supported / threatened (=FST), based on a comparison of the F-IBI and BM-IBI scores (Fish IBI= 55(good), BM-IBI= 59(good)) with biological assessment criteria established specifically for the 2002 Section 305(b) report. The biological assessment criteria were determined from a statistical analysis of data collected at stream ecoregion reference sites from 1994-2001.
