Assessment Comments

1995 biocriteria site in Winneshiek County.

Basis for Assessment

Used data from one 1995 biocriteria site in Winneshiek County to make use support determination.  Fish and habitat metrics from the stream use assessment protocol were applied to the data.  Results indicate very good physical habitat quality.  Fish were fairly abundant and included coldwater species such as longnose dace and rainbow trout.  Fisheries biologists suspect there is successful reproduction occurring in the stream.
