Assessment Comments

Assessment is based on results of a 1997 biocriteria sampling : Fish IBI= 81(excellent), BM-IBI= 80(excellent).

Basis for Assessment

SUMMARY:  The Class B(WW) aquatic life uses remain assessed as "fully supported."  Fish consumption uses remain "not assessed."  EXPLANATION:  The aquatic life uses remain assessed as "fully supported" based on results on IDNR/UHL biocriteria sampling in September 1997 (see above).   These data are less than five years old and, according to the IDNR methodology for Section 305(b) reporting, are thus appropriate for characterizing current water quality conditions.   Fish consumption uses remain "not assessed" due to the lack of fish contaminant monitoring in this stream segment.
