The presumptive Class A1 use remains assessed as “not supported” due to levels of indicator bacteria (E. coli) that exceeded state water quality criteria. All other designated uses were "not assessed." Note: A TMDL for the bacteria impairments in 13 stream segments in the Yellow River basin was prepared by Iowa DNR in 2012 and approved by U.S. EPA in 2013. This assessment segment (IA 01-YEL-2005) was not included in, or covered by, the TMDL.
