1991 stream use assessment in Clayton county.
Basis for Assessment
Used a review of the field sheet from the November 1991 DNR stream use assessment to change the assessment of support of the Class B(LR) aquatic life uses from FST to "not assessed" due to the lack of of sufficient information on the status of the aquatic communities. According to notes on the field sheet, seining was ineffective due to rocky substrates, with only two cyprinid species collected despite indications of above average habitat quality in this reach (see 1996 assessment). Additional monitoring is needed to better determine the status of the aquatic communities of this stream reach and to provide the information needed to develop an accurate assessment of support of the Class B(LR) uses.
