Basis for Assessment
Considered this reach "not assessed" due to recent (winter 1997-98) sediment removal at Backbone Lake and the lack of recent biological information for the river downstream from Backbone Lake. Excessive sediment levels created through sediment removal activities may have impaired the river downstream from the lake. Monitoring/assessment is needed in this reach to determine if these or other impacts occurred.
