Basis for Assessment
All fish contams < 1/2 FDA action levels. Aquatic life uses assessed as PS due to personal knowledge (JRO) of habitat degradation in most reaches of this subsegment due to channelization, removal of riparian vegetation (especially trees) and stream bank destabilization. The few unchannelized reaches in this subsegment have much better habitat quality due to narrower channel, increased amount of woody structure, and greater diversity of flow velocity.
