Basis for Assessment
Waterbody not designated for beneficial uses in the Iowa Water Quality Standards as of June 1996. This publicly-owned waterbody was added to the list of Iowa wetlands in 1994 at the suggestion of the DNR Wildlife Bureau.
Used the recommendation of the DNR Wildlife Bureau to assess support of the aquatic life uses of this wetland as "not supporting" due to hydrological habitat modification and due to nonpoint source siltation impacts. This wetland is not yet designated for aquatic life uses in the Iowa Water Quality Standards.
