Basis for Assessment
Waterbody not designated for beneficial uses in the Iowa Water Quality Standards. This publicly-owned waterbody was added to the list of Iowa wetlands in 1994 at the suggestion of the DNR Wildlife Bureau.
Comments of DNR Wildlife Biologist indicate the wetland receives little runoff from agricultural nonpoint sources and would support full attainment of B(LW) use, should the wetland receive that use designation in the future.
