The Class BLW use was assessed as "fully supported” based on information from the DNR Fisheries Bureau. All other designated uses were “not assessed.” This assessment was the same as that developed for the previous assessment/listing cycles (not impaired).
Class BLW - The Class BLW aquatic life use was assessed (evaluated) as "fully supported” based on information from the DNR Fisheries Bureau. According to local DNR Fisheries Biologist, this is a Spirit Lake Fish Hatchery walleye production lake. Lake is used for walleye fingerling production and manipulated to increase production growth through intensive aquatic plant and fishery management. Class HH - Fish Tissue sampling: No Data In general, Iowa wetlands are not managed for recreational fisheries; thus, fish contaminant monitoring is not typically conducted at these waterbodies.
