Assessment based on the results of two May 1990 IDNR stream use assessments.

Used information from the field sheets for the two May 1990 DNR stream use assessments to assess support of the Class B(LR) aquatic life uses as PS.   These assessments were conducted very early in the DNR's 1990-1995 stream use assessment project, and the information for the "aquatic species evaluation" is incomplete.   The habitat evaluation, however, suggests extensive channelization, frequent stream bank erosion, and lack of habitat diversity at both assessment sites.   Habitat scores (17 and 14) are well below the overall median score (22) for DNR stream use assessments.   Follow-up monitoring is needed to better determine the status of the aquatic communities of this stream and to determine the degree to which the Class B(LR) uses may be impaired.
