Assessment Comments

Assessment is based on results of three October 1995 IDNR stream use assessments conducted near Moville, Woodbury county.

Basis for Assessment

Used assessment of support of Class B(LR) aquatic life uses developed for the 1994 report (=PS).   The October 1995 assessment upstream from Moville was in a partially meandered reach of the W.Fk Little Sioux.   Habitat conditions were somewhat improved and the number of fish species somewhat greater (12 versus 5, 8, and 5 proceeding downstream).   Despite this improvement, scores are still marginal for full support of a B(LR) stream; thus maintain assessment of PS aquatic life uses.
