Assessment based on the results of the September 1990 IDNR stream use assessment conducted in Plymouth county.

Basis for Assessment

Continued to use the assessment of support of the Class B(LR) aquatic life uses developed for the 1994 report (=PS).   A review of the field sheet from the September 1990 DNR stream use assessment shows that the fish community sampled (4 spp., 1 fam) lacks several species/genera expected for Class B(LR) streams in this region.   The relatively good quality habitat (only isolated areas of pasturing and stream bank erosion are noted) suggest that other factors may be affecting the fish community.   Follow-up monitoring is needed to determine the status of the aquatic communities and habitats of this stream and to determine the degree to which the Class B(LR) uses may be impaired.   The data upon which this assessment is based is more than five years old; thus, the 305(b) assessment category = "evaluted."
