1992 stream use assessment in Howard County.
Basis for Assessment
Used results of the June 1992 DNR stream use assessment near Schley to assess support of the Class B(LR) aquatic life uses as PS due to (1) habitat score (18) was worse than the overall median habitat score (22) for DNR stream use assessments and (2) indications on field sheet of few pool/riffle sequences, frequent channel alterations due to pasturing of the riparian area, and relatively unstable and erosive stream banks. Fish community moderately diverse (9 species), but would expect better diversity in reaches with better aquatic habitat.
