Assessment based on October 1989 DNR stream use assessments conducted in Lyon county.
Basis for Assessment
Assessed during near drought conditions of late 1980s, yet stream had good flow. Above average habitat and a relatively diverse fish community of 13 fish species from four families; good numbers (common to abundant) of most species. Continued support of Class B(LR) aquatic life uses threatened by channelization, pasturing of riparian zones, and row-cropping too close to stream banks.
