Basis for Assessment
The annual "fishing forecasts" in the Iowa Conservationist" magazine identify this reach of the Turkey River as providing "excellent habitat" for smallmouth bass. Water quailty monitoring is needed, however, to better determine the degree to which the Class B(WW) aquatic life uses are supported.
