Assessment Comments

Assessment is based on results of an October 1995 DNR stream use assessment.

Basis for Assessment

Used results of two DNR stream use assessments to assess support of the Class B(LR) aquatic life uses as FST due to (1) presence of a meandered stream channel, (2) existence of a relatively diverse fish community (16 species from 7 families) for western Iowa streams.   Continued support of the aquatic life uses is threatened by excessive siltation from agricultural activities in the watershed.
