Basis for Assessment

Stream assessment form indicates fairly good habitat for SW Iowa streams.  Coarse substrate and channel bends enhance habitat.  Frequent stream bank erosion noted and fine substrates are dominant.   Good population of channel catfish and habitat to support maintenance of population.
