Monitored in 1990 by ISU for Clean Lakes Classification study (1994); DSC watershed analysis (1991).

Basis for Assessment

The assessments developed for the 1994 and 1996 reports were reviewed and approved by the DNR Fisheries Bureau.   Thus, the Class A (primary contact recreation) uses were assessed as PS due to nuisance levels of aquatic vegetation (algae), the Class B(LW) aquatic life uses were assessed as PS due to high levels of sediment and nutrients from agricultural nonpoint sources.   At the recommendation of the DNR Fisheries Bureau, this lake was placed on the 1998 list of Section 303(d) waters.
