Use assessments of support of the Class A primary contact recreation uses (=FST), Class B(LW) aquatic life uses (=FST), fish consumption uses (=FS), and Class C drinking water uses (=NAS) developed for the 1994 and 1996 reports. The March/April 1998 Iowa Conservationist notes that Green Valley Lake provides good angling for bullheads, largemouth bass, channel catfish and crappie.
