Basis for Assessment
Upgraded the assessment of support of the Class B(LR) aquatic life uses from PS to FST due to results of the October 1991 DNR stream use assessement that showed Silver Creek to support a fish community typical of the Class B(LR) streams in this region (5 of 7 of the expected species/genera present in a relatively short collection at one location). Because the data on which this assessment is based are more than five years old, additional monitoring is needed to update the assessment and to determine the status of aquatic communities and habitats of this reach of Silver Creek. [Note: the habitat score for the October 1991 DNR stream use assessment (24) was better than the overall median score (22) for the DNR stream use assessments conducted from 1990-95.]
