Basis for Assessment
Stream assessment form indicates above average habitat & fish community for SW Iowa stream. Frequent stream bank erosion noted, probably a result of high flows caused by channelization and agric. drainage. Good depth in pools adequate to hold adult channel catfish. Relatively high diversity of fish species.
