Basis for Assessment

SUMMARY: This segment of Middle Fork Little Maquoketa River (a.k.a., Bankston Creek) is not designated for Class B(CW) [coldwater] uses but is instead designated for Class B(LR) [limited resource/warmwater] uses. Thus, previous (2000, 2002, and 2004) assessments that based on application of trout reproduction summaries have been in error. No information is available upon which to base an assessment of the Class B(LR) uses of this stream segment; thus, these uses are considered "not assessed" for the the 2006 assessment/listing cycle.
