Used assessments of support of the Class A drinking water uses (=FS), Class B(LW) aquatic life uses (=FS), and Class C drinking water uses (=FS) developed for the 1994 and 1996 reports.   The March/April 1998 Iowa Conservationist notes that Little River Lake provides good to excellent fishing for bluegill, bullheads, largemouth bass, walleye/saugeye, channel catfish, and crappie.
