Assessment based on a 1995 survey of Iowa water supply reservoirs (Miller and Kennedy 1995).
Basis for Assessment
Used results of Miller and Kennedy's (1995) winter survey of 19 Iowa water supply reservoirs to assess support of the Class C (drinking water) uses as FST due to (1) relatively low levels of common agricultural herbicides in both water (atrazine: 0.91 ug/l; cyanazine 0.60 ug/l) and sediment and (2) the absence of any MCL violations.
