Three 1990 stream use assessment sites in Dubuque County.

Basis for Assessment

Used a review of the field sheets from the August 1990 DNR stream use assessments in Dubuque County to change the assessment of support of the class B(LR) aquatic life uses from FST to "not assessed" due to lack of sufficient information on the aquatic communities of this stream.  Habitat assessments at the three sites suggest very high quality aquatic habitats with very diverse substrates, numerous pool/riffle sequences, and few or no impacts to the physical characteristics of this stream.  Additional monitoring is needed to determine the status of the aquatic communities and to provide the information needed to develop an accurate assessment of support of the Class B(LR) uses.
