Stream use assessment.

Basis for Assessment

The upstream subsegment of the Class B(LR) reach of Eagle Creek was created for the 1998 report.  Used a review of the field sheet from the October 1992 DNR stream use assessment NE of Eagle Grove to assess support of the Class B(LR) aquatic life uses as PS due to (1) notes on field sheet that indicate absence of aquatic life due to dumping of septic waste from a local farmsted into the creek and (2) indications of extensive channel alterations, primarily due to channelization and indications of very low habitat diversity.   Follow-up monitoring is needed to update this assessment, to determine the status of the aquatic communities and habitats, and to determine the degree to which the Class B(LR) uses may be impaired.
