Basis for Assessment
Used same assessments as the 1992 report for the following reasons: (1) BPJ of DNR Fisheries; (2) results of monitoring in 1990 show that averages of secchi depth, total-P, and TSS are approximately equal to overall averages for the 116 SPOLs sampled in 1990 and 1992; the average level of chl-a is worse than the overall average but is well within 1 SD. (3) according to Bachmann et al. (1994), the lake does not have problems with fishkills, receives heavy use for both fishing and swimming, and has a relatively long life expectancy for a relatively small (59 acres) impoundment.
