1990 stream use assessment in Dubuque County.
Basis for Assessment
Used a review of the field sheet for the August 1990 DNR stream use assessment in Dubuque County to change the assessment of support of the Class B(WW) aquatic life uses from FST to "not assessed" due to lack of sufficient information on the aquatic communities of this stream. Although the field sheet indicates exceptionally high aquatic habitats (see assessment for the 1996 report), only three fish species were collected. Notes on field sheet indicate that water was too deep to effetively sample (ie, seine). Additional monitoring is needed to determine the status of the aquatic communities and to provide the information needed to develop an accurate assessment of support of the Class B(WW) uses.
