Two stream use assessments.
Basis for Assessment
Stream was assessed at two locations in lower reaches of B(LR) segment. Habitat quality at these locations was above average but may not be totally representative of B(LR) segment as a whole. Some diversity of substrate and rel. good pool development observed at both locations. Effects of recent and old pasture use also evident. Size and depth of pool habitat hindered electrofishing somewhat. Good diversity of fish species observed including some rel. intolerant species. Grazing impacts and channelization in headwaters are threats to integrity of aquatic community.
