Assessment Comments

Assessment is based on results of a May 1994 DNR stream use assessment.

Basis for Assessment

SUMMARY:  The Class B(LR) aquatic life uses remain assessed as "fully supported / threatened."  EXPLANATION:  The results of the May 1994 DNR stream use assessments--upon which the previous assessment of the Class B(LR) uses was primarily based ("fully supported / threatened")--are approximately 5 years old and can be used to assess current water quality conditions.   Thus, the assessment of support of the Class B(WW) aquatic life uses remains "fully supported / threatened" (see assessments developed for the 1996 and 1998 reports above).   As stated in the assessment developed for the 1998 report (see above), additional monitoring is needed in this stream reach to better determine the status of aquatic communities and habitats.
