The Class BLW use was assessed as "fully supported" based on information from the DNR Wildlife Bureau. All other designated uses were “not assessed.”
Class BLW - The Class BLW aquatic life use was assessed (evaluated) as "fully supported” based on information from the DNR Wildlife Bureau. According to the local DNR Wildlife Biologist, this water body is relatively healthy. Carp periodically enter the system through the water control structure (non sport fishery). All large wetlands on the area are at or near crest and have abundant vegetation coming out of sustained drought. Muskrat activity observed this year. Most/all the wetlands do still have varying levels of purple loosestrife infestation. Updated as of December 2025. Class HH - Fish Tissue sampling: No Data - In general, Iowa wetlands are not managed for recreational fisheries; thus, fish contaminant monitoring is not typically conducted at these waterbodies.
