Stream use assessment.

Basis for Assessment

Used results of the three November 1990 DNR stream use assessments to assess support of the Class B(LR) aquatic life uses as FST due to (1) habitat scores (22) at two of the three sites equal to the overall median score for DNR stream use assessments, (2) indications on field sheets of only isolated channel alterations, occasionally diverse substrates, occurrence of pool/riffle sequences, and generally stable stream banks, (3) comments on field sheet that stream is well-meandered, has numerous snags and small scour pools, and has some deeper (to 3 feet) pools.   Field sheets suggest that continued support of the aquatic life uses is threatened by both channel straightening and by pasturing of the riparian zone.
