The Class A1 use was assessed (monitored) as “not supported” due to aesthetically objectionable conditions caused by non-algal turbidity. The Class BLW use was assessed (monitored) as “fully supported.” The Class C use was assessed (monitored) as “fully supported.” The Class HH (fish consumption) use was assessed as "fully supported" based on fish tissue sampling data. Note: A TMDL for indicator bacteria E. coli at Lake Ahquabi was prepared by DNR and approved by EPA in April 2022. Additionally, a TMDL for algae was prepared by DNR and approved by EPA in January 2021. Because this TMDL does not address all of the impairments identified for this lake (turbidity), this lake remains in IR Category 5a (impaired; TMDL required).
