Basis for Assessment
Used results of the November 1990 DNR stream use assessment to assess support of the Class B(LR) aquatic life uses as PS due to (1) habitat score (16) much worse than the overall median habitat score (22) for DNR stream use assessments, (2) indications on field sheet of few pools and/or riffles, frequent channel alterations, and no substrate diversity (mud), and (3) very poor diversity of fish species (2 species) (although better diversity (9 species) upstream in general use reach). Both channel straightening and pasturing were identified on the field sheet as channel alterations.
