Three stream use assessments in 1990.
Basis for Assessment
Used results of the three 1990 DNR stream use assessments to assess support of the Class B(LR) aquatic life uses as PS due to (1) habitat scores (18, 21, 18) worse than the overall median score (22) for DNR stream use assessments and (2) indications on field sheets of little substrate diversity, relatively few pools or riffles, frequent alterations to the channel (primarily channel straightening), and relatively unstable/erosive stream banks. Results of fish sampling show few species (-, 3, and 5), and all species collected are pollution tolerant. Fish results are likely biased low due to effect of season and due to presence of snags that made seining difficult.
