Basis for Assessment
Lake was sampled again for common ag pesticides in water and sediment at two locations on January 19, 1995. Levels of atrazine and cyanazine were lower than the average concentrations observed for all lakes in Miller and Kennedy's (1995) study; the MCL for atrazine was not exceeded. Low levels of atrazine and cyanazine were found in lake sediments. Study suggests that levels of pesticides declined relative to those February 1993. Nonetheless, will use the assessment of support of the Class C (drinking water) uses developed for the 1994 report (FST).
