Basis for Assessment
Used results of the March 1991 DNR stream use assessment to assess support of the Class B(LR) aquatic life uses as PS due to (1) indications on field sheet of frequent channel alterations (inlcuding removal of riparian vegetation, straightening, and pasturing of riparian zone), and relatively unstable and erosive stream banks, and (2) relatively depauperate fish community (although early season and rubble may have influenced results). Habitat score (22) is equal to the overall median score for DNR stream use assessments, but this relatively high score is due primarily to greater stability of flow from the lake.
